Our Mission

At Oklahoma Head Start Collaboration Office (OHSCO), our mission is to support school readiness and help infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children from families with low incomes build a strong start in life. We work with Early Head Start and Head Start programs across Oklahoma to connect children and families with services and resources designed to help them learn, grow and get ready for school.

What is the Head Start Collaboration Office?

The Office of Head Start (OHS) administers grant funding and provides oversight for Head Start programs across the country. State Head Start Collaboration Offices help connect Early Head Start and Head Start programs with services and programs that support children and families.

In Oklahoma, OHSCO works with Head Start programs, state agencies and community partners to strengthen connections and help families find the services and support they need.
